As a Catholic faith based institution, JUC strives to foster national consciousness as regards keeping in tension Christian faith, cultural values and human experience. This is done through works of research and advocacy, formation on Christian values and human dignity and social empowerment of the youth and vulnerable people.
- Promotion of value-education and dignity of persons from all walks of life
- Offering training and formation on human dignity and Christian values to help support the public face challenges of our time with integrity and rootedness
- Organizing public lectures on topics drawn from Catholic Social Teaching themes in relation to social issues of public interest
- Organizing youth camps and regular trainings for young adults in universities on purpose-driven leadership and integral human development
- Supporting Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship for self-sustainability
- Empowering vulnerable population such as women and victims of gender based violence for economic self-sustenance and social integration
- Providing training and technical assistance to unemployed youth in social and business entrepreneurship for job creation and improvement of their quality of life
- Accompanying the marginalized and migrants especially urban refugees for social integration and financial independence
- Harnessing Research, Publication, and Advocacy for Civic education and Awareness Raising
- Developing research opportunities to provide factual evidence to inform policy planners and program developers
- Providing platform for dialogue and advocacy based on factual data and context analysis
- Assisting the public in learning and understanding theories of change and development through user friendly publications on values and policies
