Child Safeguarding Statement

Jesuit Urumuri Centre: Centre for Research and Social Action believes all children and vulnerable adults have a right to be protected from all forms of harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

We will do everything we reasonably can to protect children and vulnerable adults. It is the responsibility of all our personnel to raise any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer (SO) or Deputy Safeguarding Officer (DSO). It is the responsibility of all managers to ensure the delivery of this policy. Any concerns of abuse should be made to the SO or Deputy SO. In cases of emergency, where a child or a vulnerable adult appears to be at immediate and serious risk, the civil local authorities should be contacted immediately.
